Guaranteed security in Cuzco during national holidays

More than 1000 police to provide security to tourists and the population to contact the national holiday celebrating the department of Cusco, informed the Territorial Police Directorate X (DIRTEPOL).

"The staff are alert to any criminal act that threatens the safety of visitors, whereas Cusco is a tourist destination," he said.
The concentration of police will be mainly in the airport terminals and land in the historic center.

For its part, the head of the Tourism Police, PNP Commander Chávez Nile Moon, specified that 150 personnel will guard the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Piquillacta and Tipon.
