Cusco: The “T'anta Wawa” largest in Peru [English]



In Tupac Amaru square, Wanchaq district, Cusco region, was developed T'anta Wawa most largest in Peru, which reached the 22 meters long and 8 meters wide. T'anta Wawa originates from the words quechuas Tanta=bread and Wawa=child, which together means bread in form of child.


The cake was made by more than 20 bakers during the ninth T'anta Festival held every year at the feast of All Saints.


The challenge this year was to outgrow one which was conducted in 2011 and came to be 12 meters long.
