|Cave Paintings in Chawaytiri [English]|
They are considered the best rock paintings showing grazing activities and settlement for over 5000 years BC in Cusco region.
It is located 17km from the Pisac's citadel, in the community of the same name. It has state regular tarmac, with a travel time of 45 minutes.
Around this community are observed small caves, with sandstone type rocks where you can see cave paintings were painted of colour black and red. The reasons are depicted everyday scenes of grazing camelids, including llamas, vicuna, alpacas and other animals native to the area.
